Our Brand New Robotic Chassis Welding Bay!

Looking back on 2022 and our busiest year to date, one of our biggest objectives was to reduce lead times and continue to improve on quality. In order to achieve this, we have installed a full robotic chassis welding bay.
Innovation has always been at the forefront of McCauley Trailers and whilst we have invested in innovation in the past, full trailer chassis welding automation is a new one for us and one we are extremely proud of. Not only increasing efficiency by working on more standard trailers, these robots will free up our skilled welders to work on more bespoke trailers.
We have recently created a short video showing some of the processes involved with the Robotic Welders. Throughout the video you can see the different stages of the process from the rotators adjusting the chassis to the robots beginning to weld.
